Madness Wednesday

Crazy busy day but made it through. I haven’t been great with prepping meals lately. The only thing I cooked for my meals was chicken. I haven’t been eating much greens, which I actually miss eating. I feel like I need some sort of a salad with my meals. Never thought I would like salads as much as I do now. This morning I had a piece of toast and added cream cheese and a cup of tea. For lunch I had a piece of thin sliced chicken breast and a cup of coffee. Later in the afternoon I had a string cheese, that was given to me by my boss, since I was complaining of starvation lol. Before I left work I ate a small piece of chicken. When I got home I was exhausted and fell asleep for about two hours. When I woke up around 8:45 I changed and drove to my boyfriends work for leg day. Good workout! After we stopped by In-N-Out burger and I got a protein style hamburger. Feeling good right now after a nice shower and laying in bed. Haven’t been able to go grocery shopping which is crucial to eating right and getting all my nutrients. I’m hoping to get some stuff tomorrow🤞🏽. We will see!

Leg day 🏋🏽‍♀️

Hey lovely Sunday!

And a lovely Sunday it was .. woke up at noon, got ready and head out to have my first meal of the day at olive pit, my boyfriend loves this place! Had a lamb kabob, mushrooms with a nice salad. It was a delicious healthy meal. For a snack we decided to have a hot Dog at boomers, not the best hot Dog but it hit the spot after a loss on mini golf 🤷🏽‍♀️. We stopped by Trader Joe’s and got a lot of goodies. Not going to lie our late night snacking gets pretty crazy at times. Straus Ice cream is a pretty damn good Ice cream. I had vanilla 😋. We did enjoy a good peach tea, dark chocolate and some other shenanigans. Had us a nice weekend. Tomorrow is another day. Monday here we come!! Hope everyone had a good weekend as well. Goodnight! ☮️&love 😘

Sweet Saturday morning

My plan to do some cardio fell through. I woke up at 12:06 p.m . It felt so good to sleep in. I had to run to pick up my boyfriend to go to a lunch reservation at 1! Good thing I’m fast! Got dressed real quick and we made it right on time. We celebrated my boyfriends birthday at Benihana’s. For starters I had a mango 🥭 colada, so delicious! I had a two shots of nigori sake, miso soup and spicy hibachi chicken, which was soo good!. For dinner we went to this new spot in garden grove called steelCraft an outdoor urban eatery, we had a bomb ass burger from one of the vendors called the penalty box. Great quality burger 👍🏽 , and to top it off a macaroon 😋. I got to say this health fitness journey is definitely not a weekend journey with all the crazy foods I’ve been eating 🤷🏽‍♀️☺️.

Starting the week right

Mondays tend to be tough for a lot of people. Well it’s true, I don’t enjoy them but I did today! I like that it makes my routine easier because I tend to just do whatever on weekends, but today I got my tea, my coffee, and my oatmeal for breakfast; and a nice salad from Trader Joe’s for lunch. Cooked some chicken and broccoli with mushrooms for dinner. Took an hour nap. Did leg day with the trainer 😘 and voila! Feeling good, feeling strong and motivated to keep being better! Talk soon! ☮️ &love

Leg day

Worked out Wednesday, and worked out thursday! I Started my thursday with a strong cup of coffee. I couldn’t even keep my eyes open driving to work. So bad! Stayed up late, and I’m starting to realize I can’t continue sleeping so late. The struggles of having a boyfriend with a totally different schedule than mine. I had a chance to get my butt to trader joes and cook some meals for the next couple days, so that was good. Back to friday! I’m pretty happy that I trained twice this week. Yesterday’s work out was great! I feel stronger, so I’m excited to keep progressing. For breakfast I had green tea, oatmeal, and coffee. Sounds delicious doesn’t it?! Not Lol. For lunch I had salad, chicken, broccoli, mushrooms and a little bit of bell peppers. Finally for dinner I had chicken tenders and water. I’ve been snacking on pecans and that’s about it for today. Been online trying to find new healthy recipes to change it up a bit. We will see! Goodnight everyone! 🤙🏽

On a Tuesday!

Hello there, I have my kids tonight but I decided to get on here real quick. My meal prepping has been on hold until tomorrow, I hope. My mother made pupusas yesterday to celebrate my brothers birthday. Pupusas is a popular salvadorian dish. She also made chicken pasta salad that is covered in mayo which is not great for my diet. If you are salvadorian, pupusas are cooked occasionally, so you take advantage when someone in our family makes them. I had two pupusas, little bit of chicken pasta salad, chocolate raspberry cake, coke! I don’t drink soda ever! or I shouldn’t say ever, only when I go to the theater and I’m eating popcorn, or when it’s someone’s birthday and your mom makes pupusas. Only then! 😄 I feel like this weekend was crazy but I can also say there was a lot going on. If you follow my blog you kinda have an idea of my weekend, and if you don’t, well start reading! lol that’s a way to have you read my stuff huh.. Like everyone I’m human and I’m not perfect, but I’m not trying to be. I’m real, and I’m going to continue being me. The good thing about blogging is that it makes me realize what I need to continue doing. I enjoyed myself this weekend and now I gotta set my head straight! This morning I took my supplements, my green tea and some oatmeal. I also had coffee. For lunch I had left over shrimp and corn on the cob, which I’ll show you. It was not very filling but it was delicious! I walked outside of my work for 30 minutes. It was a hot day, maybe a little too hot but it got my heart pumping. I got home from a long day and my mother was making pupusas. I had two🤦🏽‍♀️. Tomorrow is a new day, I will go to Trader Joe’s and cook some meals for the rest of the week and hopefully get some cardio in. I’ll keep you posted!! Talk to you soon! ☮️&love 🤙🏽

Half eaten lunch 🤷🏽‍♀️

A celebration of life 2.24.20

This morning was a special one. I woke up early to go attend Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s memorial service at the Staples Center. I haven’t met anyone that follows and idolizes Kobe the way my boyfriend does. It is sad that we lost such an inspiring human being. It’s crazy to realize that Kobe is no longer here. It’s like the end of an era. To some he was a great basketball player but to others he was an icon, a hero. It was a beautiful memorial and I was glad to have gone to such an event. Mamba mentality forever! Today is also a celebration for my brother, happy birthday to my brother, I love you lots! I don’t know how long we will be in this earth, no one does, so I will hug my babies a little tighter a little longer and cherish the moments I share with the ones I love, I will try to be the best version of me because this is why we are here on this earth. God bless ☮️&love

Sunday Shenanigans

Today was a crazy eating day, let me tell you. Slept in until noonish which was a little too crazy 😬. Made myself a peach tea and then made me a smoothie, searched for whatever I could find in my boyfriend’s little fridge. Added some spring mix greens, blueberries, Greek yogurt, hemp seeds and a banana. Pretty good for last minute shenanigans. That held me over until my very late next meal of the day which was around 4 o’clock 😓. We had Japanese teppan, so let me give you a run down of what I ate. Onion Soup, Green Salad, Gyoza appetizers (only two), Fried Rice and last but not least Hibachi New York Steak and chicken! ☺️ crazy huh?! Well yea I agree but I don’t regret any of it! We drove to Corona to my boyfriends parents house to grab a Kobe jersey that he needed so we decide to dine out with his parents and we couldn’t say no to that right 😏. After all that we drove back to Orange County and decide to stop by Mr Matcha, an ice cream shop in garden grove and had a green tea black sesame swirl! Took a picture so you could see how cool this thing looks. Anyway yea that was my crazy shenanigans and tomorrow is another day to get back at it, go to the grocery store, and continue my meal prepping for the week. I will talk to you all soon and hope everyone had a nice weekend! ☮️&love 🤙🏽

Weekend vibes

Good morning! Saturday is here and had a chance to sleep in. I’m at my boyfriend place today, so I don’t exactly have what I need to start my morning routine, but so far I made myself a nice tea. Last night we went to Cheesecake Factory for date night and I did eat chicken piccata, which was delicious! 😋 Not the healthiest, but like I mentioned before, my diet, my rules 😉 I’ve been eating good so it’s nice to reward myself with a good, delicious meal. I also enjoyed an appetizer as well, some light, but flavorful Thai lettuce wraps. I actually only had one to be exact. My boyfriend, (who clearly likes to eat), had the other two ☺️ I didn’t have any bread, but I was a little bad, and had a mai tai, my first mai tai actually, and it was delicious. No cheesecake, even tho the boyfriend would have loved that idea. After Indulging in an awesome dinner, today is another day and I’m going to try to be good. I had a great breakfast at Cortina’s Italian market/restaurant in Anaheim and had me turkey breast sandwich, which I’ll show you just because it was really yummy. It seemed to be the healthiest thing on the menu, so I went with that instead of all the delicious pizza’s that surrounded me. By the way, I drink water for the most part. I don’t drink sodas, juice or anything with a lot of sugar. Occasionally I’ll drink coffee at work after I’m done with my morning tea, just powder creamer with no sugar. After my sandwich I felt too full, and my plans of doing cardio fell through. I am still sore from Thursday’s gym sesh, so I was hesitant on doing those stairs anyway. I ran some errands instead, walked through Walmart and now I’m back home. For my dinner I’m hoping to keep it light, we’ll see. Keeping it short today but I’ll be back!

1st day

Hi there! When I decided to start this journey I didn’t want to go back to my strict diets like I have before nor stop eating the things I enjoy either. I definitely try to stay away from fried foods and fast foods but I try not to be so hard on myself. My health hasn’t been great the last couple years, I had a fatty liver and kidney stones and all because of how I was eating and after being in pain for a couple years I decided that enough is enough so here I am. I should set a goal for myself, I liked when my weigh was 150 and so that will be my goal, once I get there I will see how I feel and decide whether I’m comfortable with that or stay at that weigh. My meals usually consist of a small piece of chicken, mushrooms or bell peppers, and broccoli and a blend of greens usually spinach as a side salad with a low sodium, low added sugar dressing. For breakfast this morning I had a Chicken Sausage Breakfast burrito from Trader Joe’s, fresh burrito and main ingredients are eggs, sausage, potatoes, cheese and onions, I don’t eat these often, but they are convenient and pretty good. After my lunch My coworker and I took a walk around the block a couple times, fresh air and sun is needed for me to function these days and it just makes me feel better overall. When I got home I ate a spinach salad and two pieces of chicken strips with mushroom. I did work out tonight for 1 hr. with the help of my personal trainer (boyfriend) thank you! 😙 I will post a written log of the type of exercises I did. Overall it was a good workout, I need to start coming in on a regular, so my body gets used to lifting weights again. I did eat two small pieces of chicken after my work out to give my body some protein. I forgot to mention that i take two supplements which is Garcinia Cambogia 800mg and Apple Cider Vinegar 450mg, I take them together every morning before I eat anything with green tea. People say Garcinia Cambogia blocks your body’s ability to make fat and it puts the brakes on your appetite, as for the apple cider, after watching Dr.Eric Berg on YouTube I learn how it may help control appetite , regulate blood sugar levels, and lower cholesterol. I’m not completely sure it works but I feel its been working for me, I only take 1 pill each a day even though they say you can take more, that’s just my preference. In conclusion for today I’m feeling great so far and very excited to share with you and continued this journey.Talk to you soon! 🤙🏽
